The American Institute of Applied Music was a music school in New York City. It was incorporated in 1900 through the merger of four institutions: the Metropolitan College of Music, founded in 1891; the Metropolitan Conservatory of Music, founded in 1886; the Synthetic Piano School, founded in 1887; and the American Institute of Normal Methods.
