The Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra (JPO) is a South African symphony orchestra based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The JPO was formed in May 2000 to continue symphonic music performance in Johannesburg after the National Symphony Orchestra disbanded. The organization operates as a non-profit company, and holds Public Benefit Organization status with the South African government.
